out of our control. The Super D Stage race in September is still a go! Anyone who has already registered will
be refunded asap or funds will be reserved for the September 4th Super D stage race.

Temecula is in the books. With fantastic weather and a fun course the weekend went off without a hitch!
Registration for the upcoming " SoCal Fat Tire Epic 50 - West Coast Marathon Championships and the "12
Hours Of Temecula Finals on Nov 13th will open within the next week. Take advantage of the graduated fee
scales!

6-10-2010 here we go final prep for this weekends 12 Hour race. The weather is looking promising with temps
in the mid to high 70's and clounds all day. Perfect race weather. Lets get ready to rock!!!!
6-10-2010 3 days till the June 12th "12 Hours Of Temecula #2"
Competition is heating up and the weather is cooling off. The temps for the weekend are predicted at mid to
high 70's. Perfect for a mid June Mountain Bike race!
The race course is fast and fun! With awesome ridgeline descents and beautiful views of the Agua Tibia
Wilderness, this course is set to be a classic!
Its not to late to register. Online registration will be open till midnight thursday eveing. Onsite registration for the
race will be open at 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm Friday evening and again at 6:00 am - 8:00am Saturday morning
before the race. Onsite registration will be near the start finish line across from the Huck Finn pond and the
pool area at Vail Lake Resort.
At this time we have racers coming from all over. Over 8 states are represented from Kansas, Illinois, and all
over the west coast. Not to metion the overseas contingent coming to experience SoCal Best!
The competition is on the rise as well. With such noteables as Tinker Juarez and former world 24 Hour
champion Cameron Chambers racing for a win!
A couple of race notes:
- The kids race will start at 12 oclock noon at the registation tent. All kids must have waivers signed by a
parent!
- The Temecula Valley Young Marines will be with the combet grill, serving up some mouthwater burgers and
tons of other great food! So bring some extra cash to enjoy.
- Cycopath Bike shop will be on hand providing neutral bike support for all your mechanical needs. Stop by
and tell em Jason sent ya!
- ISO Tuned will be setup and on site to help with getting your favorite mountain bike suspension dialed in and
performing at the maximum!
We have one of the best vender expo in SoCal. Some of the top bike manufacturers and cycling companies
will be on hand sharing the latest and greatest in the cycling world. Some come demo some of the best gear

4-30-2010 The SoCal Super D Stage race #1 registration will be opening tonight at 12:00. There are only 50
spots per category. It is a first come first served basis.

4-21-2010 The course for the June 12th 2010 "12 Hours Of Temecula #2" is up! Check out the 12 Hour page
for more details or click the link here COURSE. The course is a great mixture of past trails and some new stuff
thrown in for good measure. The course is short and sweet. But the elevation gain and the lap times are still on
par with past races! I really like the new course! It is super fun and challenging. Lap times are running about an
hour and change. There are still some sections of the trail which my team and I are working on. So if you go for
a preride please be careful, and know that many sections are being worked or reworked for your enjoyment!

1-26-2010 The June 2010 12 Hour race will be held at Vail Lake Resort in Temecula CA. The weekend of
June 12th and the 12 Hour race will be a festival weekend. Some of the activities for the weekend will be a
SoCal Bicycle Swap Meet, Bike Games, and much more. Stay tuned for the latest newsletter to be posted

1-20-2010 The January 23rd is a go for sure. I just wanted to let all know that this race
is rain or shine. The weather is looking super promising for the weekend. The
showers are suppose to clear by Friday and we have sunshine for Saturday! Race
day registration is open from 6:00am - 8:00am don't be late!!!!

11-16-2009 Thank you all for coming out and supporting the 2009 12 Hour Championship race this past

8-5-2009 Gettin Ready
Well things are starting to really heat up for the Marathon on Oct 3rd. Not to mention the 12 Hour
Championships which are only a month later on Nov 14th. We are out on the course really prepping the trail to
get the funnest most challenging race to date. With the new trail system going in it is really taking a lot of
patience and time. We've recently posted the Marathon trail on our site
( www.socalendurance.com ). There may be some slight alterations to the course come race day, but nothing
major. We haven't used a lot of these trails in any of our previous races. So Folks will be surprised to know that
they are even there.
We do have some interesting news regarding the marathon and expo. On Sunday during the expo we will be
having a clinic onsite by one of cycling greatest legends. John Howard will be on hand sharing his knowledge
and teaching skills that only a champion can! If you want info on the clinic and how to sign up contact me,
jr@12hrsoftemecula.com . It is a very limited class. There are only 20 spots. I am trying to talk John into giving

Also happening on Sunday is the Bike and fitness expo. It was awesome to hear that a good friend and
Legendary frame builder, Russ Denny will be on hand showing his latest and greatest. Russ has built custom
frames for some of the worlds best athletes. You can see them in races like the Tour de France and the
Olympics. Often times his frames are painted with the Rainbow stripes of world champions!

These guys are bringing full demo fleets for all to try. The cool thing is that we are having a shuttle service on
Sunday to bring folks up to the high points at Vail Lake, From there they can drop into some of the Downhill
and super runs to really test the suspension of some of these bikes. The Shuttle will cost around $5 for the day.
I think the shuttle will run from 9am to 5pm.
One of my favorite companies will be coming out on Saturday to debut their first entrance into the biking
industry. Baja Designs is a world leader in competitive off road vehicle lighting. You can see their products on
the podium at the Baja 1000 and the Dakar off road races. Well they have thrown their hat into the Bike lane.
Baja Designs has recently brought out a line of high end Bike lights that is as durable as they are bright. I have
been to several meetings with the company and I am super excited to these lights on racers bikes! Baja
Designs will be on hand Saturday and Sunday for you to check stuff out. Saturday night they will be leading a
night ride, they will have demo lights on hand for us to try! The night ride will take off around 7-8pm Saturday
eve depending on when it gets dark!
8-3-2009 The preliminary course profile for the SoCal Fat Tire 50 is posted. This is the prelim file. The course
will not change much for the actual race course. My team and I will be out on course for the next month or so

The West Coast Marathon Championships on October 3rd 2009 is sure to be a SoCal favorite. We are very
excited to present the first annual Fat Tire Epic 50. There will be categories for all levels of racers.
All categories will be racing for the coveted Champions jersey. At the end of the day the winners from each
category will be crowned West Coast Marathon Champions. The PRO categories are shaping up to be one of
SoCal's most competitive races of the year. The Pros are not only racing for the jerseys but one of the best
cash payouts in West Coast endurance racing, for both men and women! The top 3 in each category will be
awarded medals on the podium!
In conjunction with the SoCal Fat Tire Epic 50 will be the SoCal Bicycle Expo and outdoor bike demo. The
expo will be Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am to 6:30pm. There will be a special map printed out showing all
the great riding at Vail lake. There will plenty of varied terrain to test all levels of bike you need! We will have
some of the top manufacturers and representatives from the Bicycle and fitness industries. So if you are in the
market for a new bike or a coach to help get you in the best shape of your life your not going to want to miss
this expo!
A quick note to all our campers. Vail Lake resort has been very supportive of our races and we appreciate any
help we can get. For the upcoming events in 2009 they have given our campers a special rate for camping. If
you mention that you will be racing with SoCal Endurance MTB you can get your camp spots for as low as
$35. There will be some other spots around the resort where the prices may change!
After the race on Saturday Oct 3rd at Vail Lake resort is opening its village to us to party and have a great
time. We will have live music and Food available. Vail Lake will have its saloon open for all those old enough
to enjoy! The Village is very close to the race venue ( a quick walk across the resort ) and it should be a great
way to close out the days fun!
Due to some environmental issues and permitting we have had to make a few changes to the course for the
Marathon event. Now instead of two 25 mile laps,we will have three 16+ mile laps to race on. We will be using
over 8 miles of new trails for this event. You can look forward to the ultra fun rollercoaster ridgelines and of
course the staple " Tunnel of Love". I will have the GPs file, Written directions, Geoladders file, and a printable
version up on the website soon.
We will have multiple aid stations on course to supply water and nutrition. There will also be a written map for
support folks to easily get around the course to provide individual support!
SoCal endurance is adopting a greener approach to our races. We will need the support from all of our racers
and support folks. As well as non racers and spectators. We will have recycle bins all over the venue area. Our
races from now on will be a pack it in and pack it out venue. What this means is - Please cleanup your trash
and help to leave our trails in better shape than when we got there! Pick up your trash and either take it with
you or dump it in the big green containers that Vail Lake has provided.
A huge thanks goes out to our partner CANARI CYCLEWEAR! They stepped up and are providing custom
Champions jerseys for both the Marathon and the 12 Hour Finals at Vail Lake in November.

"12 HOURS OF TEMECULA #2" NOVEMBER 14TH 2009 9AM-9PM
The "12 Hours of Temecula #2" SoCal Endurance series championships registration will open up July 15th.
The overall results will be posted July 13th. Of course this is also an individually timed race and medals will be
awarded in all categories for the top 3 teams.
This is also the 3rd and final race in the SoCal Endurance 12 hour series. At the conclusion of the race,
medals will be awarded to the top 5 teams in each category. The winners in each category will be crowned the
SoCal endurance 12 Hour Champions and each person on the team will receive a custom Champions jersey!
The November course will be posted within the next couple of weeks!

thrown in for good measure. The course is short and sweet. But the elevation gain and the lap times are still on
par with past races! I really like the new course! It is super fun and challenging. Lap times are running about an
hour and change. There are still some sections of the trail which my team and I are working on. So if you go for
a preride please be careful, and know that many sections are being worked or reworked for your enjoyment!

June 12th and the 12 Hour race will be a festival weekend. Some of the activities for the weekend will be a

1-20-2010 The January 23rd is a go for sure. I just wanted to let all know that this race
is rain or shine. The weather is looking super promising for the weekend. The
showers are suppose to clear by Friday and we have sunshine for Saturday! Race

11-16-2009 Thank you all for coming out and supporting the 2009 12 Hour Championship race this past

8-5-2009 Gettin Ready
Well things are starting to really heat up for the Marathon on Oct 3rd. Not to mention the 12 Hour
Championships which are only a month later on Nov 14th. We are out on the course really prepping the trail to
get the funnest most challenging race to date. With the new trail system going in it is really taking a lot of
patience and time. We've recently posted the Marathon trail on our site
( www.socalendurance.com ). There may be some slight alterations to the course come race day, but nothing
major. We haven't used a lot of these trails in any of our previous races. So Folks will be surprised to know that
they are even there.
We do have some interesting news regarding the marathon and expo. On Sunday during the expo we will be
having a clinic onsite by one of cycling greatest legends. John Howard will be on hand sharing his knowledge
and teaching skills that only a champion can! If you want info on the clinic and how to sign up contact me,

Also happening on Sunday is the Bike and fitness expo. It was awesome to hear that a good friend and
Legendary frame builder, Russ Denny will be on hand showing his latest and greatest. Russ has built custom
frames for some of the worlds best athletes. You can see them in races like the Tour de France and the
Olympics. Often times his frames are painted with the Rainbow stripes of world champions!

Of course we have several Bike manufacturers coming out to demo their fleets. Some of the companies

These guys are bringing full demo fleets for all to try. The cool thing is that we are having a shuttle service on
Sunday to bring folks up to the high points at Vail Lake, From there they can drop into some of the Downhill
and super runs to really test the suspension of some of these bikes. The Shuttle will cost around $5 for the day.
I think the shuttle will run from 9am to 5pm.
One of my favorite companies will be coming out on Saturday to debut their first entrance into the biking
industry. Baja Designs is a world leader in competitive off road vehicle lighting. You can see their products on
the podium at the Baja 1000 and the Dakar off road races. Well they have thrown their hat into the Bike lane.
Baja Designs has recently brought out a line of high end Bike lights that is as durable as they are bright. I have
been to several meetings with the company and I am super excited to these lights on racers bikes! Baja
Designs will be on hand Saturday and Sunday for you to check stuff out. Saturday night they will be leading a
night ride, they will have demo lights on hand for us to try! The night ride will take off around 7-8pm Saturday
eve depending on when it gets dark!
8-3-2009 The preliminary course profile for the SoCal Fat Tire 50 is posted. This is the prelim file. The course
will not change much for the actual race course. My team and I will be out on course for the next month or so

The West Coast Marathon Championships on October 3rd 2009 is sure to be a SoCal favorite. We are very
excited to present the first annual Fat Tire Epic 50. There will be categories for all levels of racers.
All categories will be racing for the coveted Champions jersey. At the end of the day the winners from each
category will be crowned West Coast Marathon Champions. The PRO categories are shaping up to be one of
SoCal's most competitive races of the year. The Pros are not only racing for the jerseys but one of the best
cash payouts in West Coast endurance racing, for both men and women! The top 3 in each category will be
awarded medals on the podium!
In conjunction with the SoCal Fat Tire Epic 50 will be the SoCal Bicycle Expo and outdoor bike demo. The
expo will be Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am to 6:30pm. There will be a special map printed out showing all
the great riding at Vail lake. There will plenty of varied terrain to test all levels of bike you need! We will have
some of the top manufacturers and representatives from the Bicycle and fitness industries. So if you are in the
market for a new bike or a coach to help get you in the best shape of your life your not going to want to miss
this expo!
A quick note to all our campers. Vail Lake resort has been very supportive of our races and we appreciate any
help we can get. For the upcoming events in 2009 they have given our campers a special rate for camping. If
you mention that you will be racing with SoCal Endurance MTB you can get your camp spots for as low as
$35. There will be some other spots around the resort where the prices may change!
After the race on Saturday Oct 3rd at Vail Lake resort is opening its village to us to party and have a great
time. We will have live music and Food available. Vail Lake will have its saloon open for all those old enough
to enjoy! The Village is very close to the race venue ( a quick walk across the resort ) and it should be a great
way to close out the days fun!
Due to some environmental issues and permitting we have had to make a few changes to the course for the
Marathon event. Now instead of two 25 mile laps,we will have three 16+ mile laps to race on. We will be using
over 8 miles of new trails for this event. You can look forward to the ultra fun rollercoaster ridgelines and of
course the staple " Tunnel of Love". I will have the GPs file, Written directions, Geoladders file, and a printable
version up on the website soon.
We will have multiple aid stations on course to supply water and nutrition. There will also be a written map for
support folks to easily get around the course to provide individual support!
SoCal endurance is adopting a greener approach to our races. We will need the support from all of our racers
and support folks. As well as non racers and spectators. We will have recycle bins all over the venue area. Our
races from now on will be a pack it in and pack it out venue. What this means is - Please cleanup your trash
and help to leave our trails in better shape than when we got there! Pick up your trash and either take it with
you or dump it in the big green containers that Vail Lake has provided.
A huge thanks goes out to our partner CANARI CYCLEWEAR! They stepped up and are providing custom
Champions jerseys for both the Marathon and the 12 Hour Finals at Vail Lake in November.

SOCAL ENDURANCE 12 HOUR FINALS - 2009 CHAMPIONSHIPS
"12 HOURS OF TEMECULA #2" NOVEMBER 14TH 2009 9AM-9PM
The "12 Hours of Temecula #2" SoCal Endurance series championships registration will open up July 15th.
The overall results will be posted July 13th. Of course this is also an individually timed race and medals will be
awarded in all categories for the top 3 teams.
This is also the 3rd and final race in the SoCal Endurance 12 hour series. At the conclusion of the race,
medals will be awarded to the top 5 teams in each category. The winners in each category will be crowned the
SoCal endurance 12 Hour Champions and each person on the team will receive a custom Champions jersey!
The November course will be posted within the next couple of weeks!
